Request to Make an Oral Public Comment

Deadline for requesting to make an oral public comment: June 12, 2019

The June 26-27, 2019 ACIP meeting will include two sessions for oral public comment for members of the public, totaling 75-minutes over the two days. The oral public comment sessions will occur in the afternoon of each meeting day, before any of the day’s scheduled votes.

If the number of people requesting to speak is greater than can be reasonably accommodated during the time scheduled for oral public comment, CDC may conduct a lottery to determine the speakers. CDC staff will notify individuals regarding their request to speak via email by June 14, 2019. If a speaker indicates a specific vote that their comment is regarding, CDC will assign them to the day on which that vote is scheduled.

To accommodate the significant interest in participation in the oral public comment session of ACIP meetings, each speaker will be limited to 3 minutes, and each speaker may only speak once per meeting. Interested persons who are unable to make an oral public comment during this meeting are invited to submit a written comment.

All persons requesting to make an oral comment must also register to attend the ACIP meeting.
