Principles Of Epidemiology by Satellite
|
These 5 videotapes are based on an introductory satellite course in epidemiology
consisting of a course workbook and five interactive videoconferences designed to empower
public health workers to assume a more active role in identifying, prioritizing and
addressing health risks in their communities. It consists of the study of the concepts,
principles and methods generally useful in the surveillance and investigation of
health-related conditions and events. These tapes are based on the following chapters in
the Principles of Epidemiology, SS3030 self-study course, but contain practical
work applications that should enhance the depth of the training. Nancy Barker,
Epidemiology Program Office; Virgil Peavy, Office of the Director, Public Health Practice
Program Office; Charlie Woernle, MD, MPH, State Epidemiologist, Alabama; Reginald Finger,
MD, MPH, State Epidemiologist, Kentucky served as course developers and instructors.
