Learning Objectives:

  • Discuss domestic and international perspectives on the intersection of migration, law, and public health;
  • Describe the federal, state, and local experience in addressing migration, law and the public's health;
  • Explain the oversight and regulatory roles of the CDC Division of Global Migration and Quarantine;
  • Illustrate approaches and tools that have proven effective in addressing major public health issues raised by immigrant and refugee populations domestically and internationally; and
  • Justify the need for a paradigm shift in addressing migration health.
