Instructions for Obtaining Continuing Education (CE)
To receive continuing education (CE) for WB4449R: Immunization:  You Call the Shots-Module Six-Hepatitis A-2021, please visit CDC TRAIN and search for the course in the Course Catalog using WB4449R. Follow the steps below by 05/11/25.

1.         Register for and complete the course.
2.         Pass the post-assessment at 80%.
3.         Complete the evaluation.
4.         Visit “Your Learning” to access your certificates and transcript.
NOTE—You must pass the posttest at 80%. There are only 2 attempts allowed.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: You Call the Shots is an interactive, web-based immunization training course. It consists of a series of modules that discuss vaccine-preventable diseases and explain the latest recommendations for vaccine use. Each module provides learning opportunities, self-test practice questions, reference and resource materials, and an extensive glossary. This sixth module in the series discusses hepatitis A disease and its related vaccines.

OBJECTIVES: At the conclusion of the session, the participant will be able to:
For hepatitis A, describe the disease, including the causative agents.
For hepatitis A, list the groups at highest risk.
For hepatitis A, identify those for whom routine immunization is recommended.
For hepatitis A, describe characteristics of the vaccine used to prevent the disease. (Characteristics may include schedule, contraindications, and/or adverse reactions.)
Locate current immunization resources to increase knowledge of team’s role in program implementation for improved team performance.
Implement disease detection and prevention health care services (e.g., smoking cessation, weight reduction, diabetes screening, blood pressure screening, immunization services) to prevent health problems and maintain health.

CME:  The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention designates this Enduring activity for a maximum of 1.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

AAPA CME–Credit Designation Statement – Enduring:  The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has been authorized by the American Academy of PAs (AAPA) to award AAPA Category 1 CME credit for activities planned in accordance with AAPA CME Criteria.
