About Hepatitis A Vaccine

Hepatitis A vaccine is an inactivated whole-virus vaccine. There are currently two hepatitis A vaccines licensed for use in the United States: Havrix, which is manufactured by GlaxoSmithKline, and VAQTA, which is manufactured by Merck. Both vaccines are available in pediatric and adult formulations. Both are licensed for use in children 12 months of age and older.
