Biography

Bill Kropf is the Regional Environmental Programs Manager for the Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality, Environmental Complaints and Local Services Division, State of Oklahoma.  He holds a Bachelors of Science degree from Oklahoma State University.  His career in environmental public health began in 1989, when he began working for the Oklahoma State Department of Health at Fairview, Oklahoma.  While there he began to learn the practice of public service.  Mr. Kropf is credentialed as a Registered Environmental Specialist, Certified Soil Profiler, and Certified Water and Wastewater Operator.   In 1993 he transferred to the then newly created Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality where he served as Environmental Specialist.  In his current position as Regional Environmental Programs Manager, he manages multi-divisional programs in a 6 office 10 employee region. 

Leadership Development Opportunities

The National Environmental Public Health Leadership Institute has been a wonderful opportunity for me.  Being a Fellow has afforded me the rewarding experiences of learning about personality traits, systems thinking, professional development tools and many other aspects of leadership applications.  The opportunity to meet, learn from and network with environmental public health leaders from across the county has been invaluable.  The leadership tools, methods and experiences gained from the National Environmental Public Health Leadership Institute will continue to have a positive impact on my career and life.
