Protocols, Analysis, and Reporting: Getting the Most from NHSN: Other Presentations (Web on Demand)

The goal of this activity is to teach healthcare personnel how to collect and report CLABSI, CAUTI, SSI, VAE, MDRO Bacteremia and CDI Lab ID Event hospital infection data to the National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN). In addition, the audience will be able to apply the protocol and guideline definitions by going through different case study scenarios. Finally, there will be materials posted online in conjunction with the webcasts that will assist the participant with learning

TARGET AUDIENCE: Epidemiologists, MDs, RNs, Nurse techs, administrators

PREREQUISITES: Most are healthcare personnel involved in infection control, so the participants should have some clinical background. The participants should be familiar with the content of the National Safety Healthcare Network (NHSN) Manual: Patient Safety Component Protocol document available on the NHSN website
